Back in the 70's I was driving a Datsun 510 on the interstate to Denver. Driving from the west it's a long uphill. I was driving as fast as I could go and was passed by a big Merita Bread truck.... one of those tall van things. I was so humiliated that I sold the Datsun and bought a VW Rabbit.

I just look you up in the National Man Card registry and think you have some explaining to do.
Yeah, I'm pretty old. I think the reason my Man Card didn't show up in the National Registry is that it was one of the early non-searchable paper versions. Probably hasn't even been digitized yet.

I have the paper version of the Man Card, mine was issued June 29, 1965 at USMC Recuit Depot Paris Island SC. Waaaaayyyyy befor Al Gore invented the internet. Bill Gates was only 9 years old. I doubt it will ever be digitized. JIm 0311

I could barely keep it stable at 50 mph without a ton of constant corrections. HATED EVERY MINUTE OF THAT DRIVE.
I went from a 190,000 mile 1997 Civic EX with studded snow tires to the Fit. The fit is much more stable on the highway.

I would be totally humiliated if the Duke caught me in a Fit!

BTHAB I wondered what those letters on my Man card meant.

Come on, you can beat a Smart Car....if that's what you want to do. Sometimes even trying to, is the embarrasing part. Why don't you just line up against Electric Wheelchairs?

Prius? It's got a bigger engine and the electric motor actually gives it instant torque off a stop...but again? Why would anyone even race a Prius? A Prius is designed and usually operated for fuel efficiency...

Hey it's your car, your time, your money....You really don't like the Fit? You won't have to stretch too far to find something to beat your current nemesis's.

If pure raw power was ever your priority than I'd say dreaming about Prius, Smart Cars and Owning a Fit is simply the wrong enviroment PERIOD.

C 4 - irreconcilable differences, part with the car
Ok those last two busted me up

One, why are you racing with a dumb Smart car? If you are losing, it is you, not the Fit
