v-tech valve train tutorial

After seeing so much on the site about the v-tech valvetrain/cam/lifters etc. I thought this may prove informational.

Hope you enjoy the simplicity of the illustrations. If this, or something similar, is already on here I apologize ahead of time. phasfit

U B welcome tuning g. makes it real simple to visualize if you haven't seen the actual mechanism disassembled....
The valve/rocker tip clearance appears to be a very traditional locknut and tip set up. not 100% sure about that as I am still shopping for a factory manual. If it is the clearances are a cinch to adjust.

You may find the i-VETC page interesting as well, since it's specifically discussing the Fit/Jazz engine: Honda Worldwide | Technology Picture Book | i-VTEC

......

The animation shown typifies, among more modern Hondas, the S2000. There is a noticeable change in engine sound when the VTEC solenoid kicks in. The iVTEC (Intelligent VTEC) is the variation of variable valve timing used for the Fit. Note that the S2000 engine has dual overhead camshafts (DOHC) while the Fit is SOHC.
