super mega stupid update!!!

had a bit of money to throw at the fit so here is an update, these were all taken with my phone sorry if they suck btw! i did all the work! enjoy

speed wabbles feel reduced ( will continue to work on)
motor mounts feel amazing, only 1 and a 1/2have been filled with window weld. ghetto, maybe but a mount cost about 125$ a piece where with a shop discount window weld is 15$. the tube can fill about five mounts worth, so with 3 engine/ tranny mounts and the 2 rear suspension mounts are perfect to fill up, the rear will take alot more to fully fill i only have it 1/4 filled in total and i didnt undo anything to fill the rear, and it doesnt wabble as much at high speeds/ freeway. the window weld goo seems to be fine to the touch after about an hour or 2 then i unbolted the tranny mount (holing it up with wood and a jack) then filled the mount. i let it sit for an hour or 2 then installed it. the passenger side engine mount i left in the car but used a long tip and filled the sides about 5/7th the way around all the way down till it flowed out the top. they sat over night without the engine turning on, but didnt feel much, about 2 days now and little tiny tiny vibs come frome the motor and launch/shifts/accelerating feels amazing. i held up with a wrx/sti on the freeway ( no lie their awd makes them slow!). then i raced a 240sx 1st thru 3rd redlights to redlights, i won! i love my fit. i have a new oem clutch comin from japan haha (no dealer had 1) so later this weekend an update.

i bought new brake rotors and a while ago i got pads from autozone so since they have a life time warrenty i tried to get new 1s ( yes buy brake pads from autozone and u will never have to pay for a set again!!!) but at last they didnt have them, so the guy upgraded them for free! so 75$ ceramic pads for free! now installed and used about a day. pedal is nice and firm and stops quick (havent tried it out waiting about 200-300 miles so they heat and cool enough and sit good with the pads. any whos heres the pics V! ?'s welcome! im not tellin u to do it so dont ruin ur fit! mine runs great btw!

not tryin to spend money, the window weld is the exact mount strength i want, i cant see paying 300$? for poly mounts when i just injected mine for 15$ but thanks for the wheel compliments! i plan on pullin my clutch out today and sending out the flywheel, all new pieces of clutch are here. will take pics soon, but tomorrow my fit may have a new clutch! im making a intake manifold, and sending my injectors out to rc to get flow/pattern matched. will have updates later

I'm gonna subscribe you should do pics of the flywheel and everything as you go so we can see how and everything!
Brakes look sexy.. How much were rotors, and where did you get them from?
Love it so far, looks great!

phone died durring rebuild no pics sorry but i will post what i have, about another hour and ill have it done, but i also made the suspension mounts solid on the rear. no pics but i will have those sat. its hard to get the tranny out the bottom, however it weighs like 80 lbs. hahah got the flywheel done at a local speed shop, guy has amazing cranks and blocks for all kinds of car/trucks. its light i mean every1 wit a mt has a pretty small flywheel its like 9 in. but i had an agressive cut and it looked BEAUTIFUL, but suprizingly my oem clutch friction disc is a near full faced kevlar unit.... um,

anyway now that Ivtecin is over, the pressure plate is oem i couldnt get the spring rates upped but its ok 2/3 is fine but now all new bearings (throw out and pilot) all oem from japan haha took a while to get here. also fully covered the rear engine/tranny mount (but really it just hooks to the tranny) but i filled it with 3m window weld like completely sorry no pics either but it will sit for about 2 days before i can drive it, got stuffs to do tomorrow. then will be back to workin on sat like i said, but none the less enjoy V

not really plan was to send the oem unit out to get amped up but no 1 really does that, for a reasonable price.... the stock unit with out a cdv is grippy haha we will see how the flywheel helps but i dont believe the gd uses the same clutch, pics online seem like they use different mounting points, so a gd flywheel would have to be used and most aftermarket clutch kits will have options for flywheels but they want 600+$ haha no way but i would love to have an aftermarket clutch i have had one on almost all my cars, but the fit is just not cost effective at this point

job is done will post pics later but i filled the rear bushings. the rear suspension made the car very nice and stable at high speeds im very happy with window weld and all in all i didnt need to drop the rear end so its pretty easy for the mod!

my ge8 handles amazing... it drives in a straight line. only strong winds 75+ mph make it move but thats the fits flat side wall body shape.

on another note the clutch feels amazing, it grips even better then new, the cut in the flywheel was very strange looking, like knife blades on their sides kinda, i did get this at a performance shop and it is lighter, my fit has crazy low end responce as opposed to before it sounds pretty kool, it seems like while cruzing it accels quicker and doesnt feel like its trying as hard as it used to. my old clutch wasnt "fried" it was blue but it seems like the spaces on the organic/kevlar matterial were wider, making the clutch softer and less agressive, maybe a new thing for newer fits? idk maybe? but its nice! clutch grips nice and low and without a cdv its pretty smooth, with a slight more grip. i havent pushed my car however, because im waiting for it to seat and settle to the heat for maybe 500 miles. after i will follow up with an update. anyway i filled the rear trans mount with window weld while i had the trans out . U NEED TO DO THIS! the stock rubber is so soft i made it max out and touch the sides, with my HANDS!

so with it filled there is a slight more vibs but i now hav all 3 almost completely filled so i expected and loved it, the fits engine feels very ballanced and doesnt shake the car in a bad way.

i love it so far if u got ?'s let me kno happy to answer i have been to the land of the ge8 clutch and back .... i have driven 100 miles maybe? more like 70-80 but by tonight 100 i think.... anyway its goin good so far i did everything pretty decent, locktight the bolts on the things needed and torqed so hopefully it goes good for another 70,000 (finger crossed) if it feels like not alot of miles, our clutches are very small and at the prices u can get them, i dont expect a long use life, however this clutch does seem a little different so we will see right?
