Pang3t GE8 intro and more

The Clip (which is straight) is on the curved part of your door frame and while it isn't that curved where you have it, it's still probably putting a little extra stress on the door every time it's closed. Also, i'm not sure how the frame is for the roof but yakima designs their racks for best placement from a strength standpoint so likely back where mine is located is probably the strongest point on the roof. That said, there is likely no other adverse effects.
What do you ride for a bike? (there's a thread on this in the off topic section too) I ride a Canondale Jekyll 900SX with a lefty.

ok i get you never knew that thank you. but so far had the rack like that for several months and nothing too bad from my point had at least 3 bikes sitting on the rack also, had a gear basket which was load wit all beach stuff so i had no probelms as of nw. but putting it far back is very logical which i mite do after buying a new yakima set or thule. unsure. budget is always theproblem.
i have nothing to fancy it is a aerowind womens bike. which i found at my aunt's place. been trying to find a mens vintage road bikes but price is way out there.

Like the progress so far. I'm a big fan of the bases. If done right then can sometimes look cooler than the sport. I would advise. Especially if your going for perfornance and ever aesthetics. Save your money and do it right, get COILOVERS. Springs are decent but in the long run with what you'll spend on springs, install, if you don't do it yourself and shocks eventually. You'd be better off saving a few more weeks/months. I learned the hard way lol. Just my 2cents. I'm sure either way the car will look sick. Good luck! And welcome!
