Tint question for 2011 Sport

I'm having my 2011 Silver Fit tinted with 35% 3m Color Stable film
on all sides. I have poor night vision and like to see out of the
rear at night so I am thinking of maybe having the hatch done
with 50% instead of the 35. How do you think that would look?

I'm surprised nobody has responded yet. Anyway, I think that may look a little silly. 35% isn't all that dark and you could go with 35% all around. If you are big on looks, that would probably be better for you...

35% is actually pretty light.

I went with 35 all around, and almost wish I could go darker. But its good and still visible.

I was thinking about doing the same thing to mine. I'll bet it would look fine. I was also thinking about tinting those little tiny rear windows super dark. That will make the back window look darker.

That was the one thing I hated about the last car I tinted. Trying to back up at night. Since the Fit has such a vertical rear window and the spoiler shades it anyway I think light tint on the rear is a good idea.

I have to admit I have entertained strange thoughts of installing back-up sensor on my FIT but I would risk being featured in car magazines with description like " A FIT owner installed back-up sensor to keep up with the John-es SUVs"

I did the rear 5 @ 35% and have no real issues seeing out when backing. There are other times where intersections angle in a way you need to see out the right rear quarter. Then it's a bit tough, but not a real issue.

On a sunny day the car will look evenly tinted to most.

I would be concerned with doing the front doors @ 35% and seeing at night.

I only tinted the rear 5 and left the front doors free.
Have thought of going 50% on them but it's not worth it to me.

It ain't how it looks - it's how you see through it at night.

Texas legal tint...

TxDPS - Window Tinting Standards

No tint on the the front windshield, all other windows
are tinted. The rear is as dark as the sides.

I have no problem viewing out the rear during the day.
I don't drive enough at night to know what the view is then.
