I ended up pulling the trigger on the '09 yesterday for 15,200. Ended up getting the 100,000 full bumper -bumper for 1,000, too. Might end up regretting that part , but I should have no major expenses for 3 years. So far I love it and have registered nearly 40mpg on the trip computer.

Shoulda got a v6 '11 stang. With that warranty you paid as much for your fit sport today, as I did for mine brand new 2 years ago... Used car market is really screwed up right now.

I have the 2011 sport and let me tell you

IF I HAD A CHOICE I WOULD GO WITH THE 2007!!!

Something about the newer modle that has a more odd bubble look i mean i got it cuase its a FIT AND A FIT IS A FIT (and its not under my name although i pay it.) but i love the 1 gen like x100000000 more

thats on look but its true if you plan on keeping the car for a long time go towards the 2009 but remember those cars were recalled

wernt they???

Quite a few guys have gone from GDs to GEs and I remember one guy that lamented his totaled GD and bought a GE but in time he got over it and the GE made him happy ... I have had my GD 5 years and still I am enjoying it even though it always looks like hell and needs washing...

Personally, I like the look of the GE far more.

As for the recall. Yes,the 2009 were recalled due to a spring in the engine area. However, if the car was certified, it should have the recall done, especially since Honda Corp paid for the recall. If you want to use recalls as negatives... the GD had two already. But again, Honda Corp paid for the recall, so it only costs the owner time needed to have it done. I'm sure the GE will have more recalls on little things or whatever.
