depends on the brand you use and how often exposed to UV. typically 4-5yrs before you start seeing the color difference. then you peel off and re-apply. darker color cars will obviously hide this discoloration.



as for the scuff not sure how that happened, but it doesn't look too deep so you can probably have the dealer polish it out. if not, have them repaint it at their cost.

 

I have had the 3m scotch brite clearbra on my car since it had 100 miles. The car now has 26k and almost 2 years later there have been no problems with it at all. The main things I do to keep it clean/clear looking are weekly/biweekly plexus applications after I wash the car. The car never sits in direct sunlight since the uv is what dries out/cracks/yellows the vinyl. I "sealed" the clear bra in the beginning with some zaino "z2" with 3 coats, each coat offers 40% spf, I think! The clear bra has taken some hits from road debris, there are a few spots that have been hit hard and have broken a little but the paint remains protected. I have the enitre hood,front bumper,fenders,headlights,foglights, and side mirrors covered.
