getting 2011 or 12 fit

I love my 2005 HFP SI, but 110000 miles on it and driving kids around more and they are getting bigger, I just need the 5 doors and little bit of extra space. Gonna test drive a Fit today, and expect it to be fine, just gonna miss the power. I guess it will be similar to my 98 civic ex. I have to go automatic since my wife is eternally manual challenged. I really want the 2011 wrx( and smaller than SI) but can't justify the cost. Other cares kinda considered were new ford focus, matrix, or mazda3. I worry of reliability on non hondas and toyotas from past experience. Thoughts, comments and advice appreciated.

Given Fit prices and supply right now, I'd wait a bit if the Fit is your choice. Nothing wrong with a test drive though.

I'm in the same shoes as you, stl05si. My poor mid-90s Subaru is pretty shot. Over 225,000 miles.

I went to test drive a Honda Fit the other day, and my local dealer only has a '09 Sport with 30k in stock. He wanted almost $16,000 for it. That's over MSRP for a new Base! Now seems like a very, very, very BAD time to be buying a Honda Fit.

I'm waiting until October. I really want to compare it with the new Hyundai Accent wagon (which seems disappointing - the seats don't even sit flat). I also test drove a Fiesta, but it also has issues (not to mention keyless start - yuck). And I was really surprised how cheap the Yaris felt. Seemed more like I was watching a movie and turning the wheel would slightly influence the film.

I'm personally hoping Honda finally adds Bluetooth. It seems a shame to rip out a brand new stereo from a brand new car. An ECO MODE button would be pretty sweet too, though.

Yeah, my civic is in good shape and I know good for many more miles. I just need the doors and for the wife to be able to drive it. I am gonna wait till the 2012s come out to see

This is a bad time to be looking for a fit. They are way overpriced right now.
