Reset Power Window Control Unit

Reset Power Window Control Unit
A question for anyone with a service manual or experience resetting the Power Window Control Unit. I am looking to install door visors tomorrow. According to the installation instructions under the "Confirmation After Installation" header I will have to reset the power window control unit.
"Referring to the service manual for the vehicle, reset the power window control unit. (If the automatic closing/opening does not function after the reset, repeat the procedure.) NOTE: This reset must be done to ensure that the anti-pinching function works properly."
Would someone be so kind as to post the procedure for resetting the power window control unit? Thank you in advance.

Good thing I saved this from a while back:
*Do steps 4-7 within 5 seconds of each other.
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Move the power window all the way down by using the power window DOWN switch.
3. Open the driver's door.
4. Do the following four times before going to step 5:
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Push and hold the power window DOWN switch.
- Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
- Release the power window DOWN switch.
5. Confirm that AUTO UP no longer works. If AUTO UP still works, go back to step 1.
6. Move the power window all the way down using the power window DOWN switch.
7. Pull up and hold the power window UP switch until the power window is all the way up, then continue to hold the switch for 1 second.
8. Confirm that the power window control unit is reset by using the power window AUTO UP and AUTO DOWN function.
If the power window still does not work in AUTO, repeat the procedure several times, paying close attention to the 5 second time limit between steps.
Hope that helps.

Thank you very much for the quick response!
I am going to assume the * note refers to the bullets under step 4 as the step following is a confirmation that step 4 worked. Upon first read I thought, '5 seconds to do all of that?!'
Does the service manual specify why and when I might need to perform this reset? I understand the visor installation instructions are telling me it's for the anti-pinching function in this case but I'm wondering if it serves any other purpose. I had window problems in my previous car that began after some run channel modification and I'm wondering now if a simple reset would have been in place after the modification.
+rep, thank you.

Ahh, yes. Do the bullet steps in 4 within 5 seconds.
Mostly it is has to do with the window run channel, since you will be peeling it from the window and re-assemble without pinch.
But what causes you to reset the window's PCU would be anything related to:
Power window regulator replacement or repair
Power window motor replacement or repair
Window run channel replacement or repair
Driver's door glass replacement or repair
Power is removed from the power window control unit while the power window timer is ON
