Sick of it!

I do Point-of-Sale installations and we do beer stores in PA.
I was in the absolute middle of nowhere PA, and was installing a drive-thru beer store after closing for the day. They had me pull in.
A girl, maybe 18 or 19 years old walks out from the booth.
She eyes up my car and stares for about 5 seconds and asks: "Where are you FROM???"
I replied: "The future"

Wow this thread is funny. The only thing that I don't like about people trying to race me when I am in the fit is it isn't fast enough to race...it is good for everything else. I don't like street racing( I am sure we are all guilty of a red light to red light at some point), I would much rather go down to the drag strip on Friday. We have/had drag race quads and I will race/ride them all day long going as fast as I want with no problems.
I haven't had any comments really negative or positive. When I go back to Oklahoma to visit I feel that everyone is looking at me thou. I would like to be down there in an ice or snow storm when all the two-wheel drive trucks can't go anywhere and I can just drive anywhere in the fit.

I get a little bit of tailgating, but my favorite is when I take the offramps smooth but fast. They are so focused on "my little car in their way" that they nearly skid off the road and wreck behind me because they don't realize how fast I've led them into the turn HAHAHAHAHA

nothing wrong with fixing up or driving a fit, I say fuck the haters I get 30 plus miles per gallon and I'm cruzin, lol I owned a yaris and a Cooper prior to my fit. And the fit is so far been awesome! Just wait till gas hits 6 bucks

The Fit has consistently made Car and Driver's top ten list. That's enough for me, along with the daily driving satisfaction.
I get a some tailgaters (not sure why) and even had one crazy road rager. (Dude in a 70's pickup.)
People get curious when gas gets really expensive, which seems like all the time now.

LOL. It's too bad you can't be the bully any more and you now have to drive like a normal person!

Yeah, it happens... America loves big trucks, SUVs, etc... so we don't "fit" in their paradigm of what an American should be driving. Oh, well... I'm 44, successful career, and I drive a modded Fit, skateboard, & do other things "normal" middle-aged white guys don't do.
You'll be okay, just be yourself.

i love the attention
every where i go people stop me to ask questions because u cant find them at the dealers up here or if u do there the new ones. i have one of the purple ones... and no its not one of the blue with the purple tint so i do stand out a little more i have had people offer to buy mine off of me

i have yet had anyone seem to notice, care or anything else about my fit. not that i would care otherwise, some of you must live in some weird towns to have so many that give a crap about what is basically just a typical looking modern cheap car.

Who cares what they say? It's a good functional car that's good on gas, and has a lot more cargo room than it looks.....and it's pretty stylish in it's own right. Someone last week said something like that, i told him I can still fill my car for $30.00.....can you? LOL.

Looks that everyone has some kind of personal experience with people in the street with our Fits. One thing is for sure....no matters what kind of car you have people just can not stop being "Haters".Sometimes people do this because they want to see our "dark" side. You must not get sick about this and don't get sick because of them. The best way to avoid to get sick of "Haters" is just enjoying your car. That's what all matters....
