The Fit really hasn't had many recalls since its been sold here in the states, just 5 since its introduction if I recall correctly. This most recent recall about the Lost Motion Springs only affects the 2009 and 2010 year model Fits, so the 2011s and onward aren't affected.

Fits are subceptable to wind gusts but it is manageable. The reason being is due a combination of the Fit's weight (~2450 to ~2650 lbs depending on year, transmission, and trim level) as well as the amount of surface area the wind can push against.

The Fit, like the majority Hondas, is of course a reliable vehicle and in addition to that is it is one of the cheapest cars on the road today to maintain.

I say 300k miles on a member's Fit on here is pretty dependable/reliable.

Due to the disaster in Japan there is a lack of Fits available. They are slowly ramping up to full production so the longer you can put off the purchase the better your chances of getting a fair price.

This is assuming you live in the US or Canada. They also produce the Fit in Thailand and China, but those do not come to North America.
