I had been looking for a car for a long time. I could not believe the cars that did not sell on Ebay and kept coming up for sale time after time after time. Not just fits either, all the brands that I was looking at.

If I was going to list my 2011 Fit base on Ebay, I would list it for $18,999!

Given that ebay shows what cars sell for as well as don't sell for, its at least useful as a counterbalance to the kbb numbers.

KBB does seem somewhat high compared to ebay completed listings. But it's not that off, maybe 10 - 15%.

An '09 Fit with 32k miles went for $14,900. My '09 has 17k miles and KBB's for $16.5k.

So KBB could be closer than we think.

An '09 Salvage title still got ~$10k. That's impressive.

Trucar.com shows an average selling price for a BRAND NEW 2011 Fit Sport with auto of $18,579!!

I actually did better than Trucars Great Price on my Fit! But I have been around the block a few times

I started out to buy a used Fit. The dealers are freakin nuts for what they want for used cars. It is not just Fits either, it is all cars. Almost like a used car bubble.

I went back and checked the 2011 Fit bas w/auto. Things have changed alot. Avg price paid $16,779! I paid $2000 less that that after the sunami. I've had my car about a month! When I bought mine Great Price for a base auto was $15,131. I cannot remember exact number but I paid under $15K

Trucar is pretty accurate, it is what people are actually paying for new cars!

Appears its better to wait till fall to buy a fit. JIm 0311
