New Fit Enthusiast Here

Hi guys and gals,

New Fit Enthusiast here and just wanted to introduce myself to everyone on this forum. I am currently in the market for a Honda Fit most likely an 09. I have been looking at many other cars for quite sometime now and I wanted something that would suit my needs. I wanted something that has great fuel economy, room for passengers, and some versatility to carry stuff around. So after countless months of debating I've decided to pick up a FIT Sport MT.

I was leaning towards an 09 imprezza WRX HB since the AWD would be ideal for the snowy conditions out here in Chicago, but the price was a little out of my budget, and was a little iffy with another turbo car. My last car was a 92 s13 HB with redtop SR20det.

I have to say the FIT sure has grew on me and after test driving the car I am definitely loving it.

Glad to be part of this community of a car that is really under valued by the tuning community, and many of you guys have some amazing looking FITs.

Hell, I would totally take undervalued, but we aren't even on the map.

Welcome! My Fit's totally stock, but I like to see what other people are doing and dream of a point where I have the time and money to play around a bit. I like to do my own maintenance, though, and this page is also a great resource for that. I've been through a couple of Chicago winters with the Fit and I think it will serve you well.

The best part about undervalued cars is when they actually impress. Nothing is better than taking an undervalued car and tuning the hell out of it, than pull have some @ss pull up and hate on your ride, and all of a sudden you see a speck of a car in the rear view mirror.

It is good to hear the Fit will perform in the Chicago winters. I have read some posts where the fit gets stuck in 2-3" of snow. Must be either bad tires or the car is just too low. Either way I'll be keeping a small shovel in the back of the Fit, and if I'll raise it up for the winters just to be safe.

I'm really excited to picking up a Fit, just gotta find the car for the right price. What are your thoughts on pricing for an 09' FIT sport MT with 37,000 miles.

Welcome! The Fit was not my first choice. I really wanted a Soul but after reading both forums, these guys and gals sold me on the Fit. I bought a 2011 base auto and so far am very happy with it.

2009 Fit Hmmmm. After doing some shopping for a used Fit I decided the dealers are nuts for what they want!! After some tough negotiations at the dealer, I bought a new one. I do not know what area you are in but here in SW FL I bought new for little more than a used one. If you are financing what you save on interest may be a big factor! 0.90% on a new Fit.

There are some threads on here about what people paid, may help a bit.
