Is Mobil 1 5w-50 (full synthetic) ok for the L15A?

For all these choices, you're failing to mention the relative cost of the items. It all comes down to cost!
If 0w-20 synthetic is much much more expensive than 5w-30, you can come out ahead even if you lose a little efficiency.
If you are afraid of the oil life or protection, you can change the oil more frequently. New mineral oil will be better than half-used synthetic oil. If you are unsure if it needs changing, then get the oil analyzed to be sure.
