Why two (2) horns???

My answer...
... Because Honda wanted to.
As stated above, really only honda engineers would know. Maybe it was cheaper to install a 2nd horn instead of a relay to activate without compromising some electrical issues, maybe someone checked the wrong box on the computer and ordered 2x the number of horns and honda couldn't put them in anything else (ok... I jest)
should I swap the ridgeline horn for the fit? Think my wife would be pissed? Nothing like a Ridge with a meep meep horn.

True that! But I know better than to blast my horn at an aggressive driver who's already intent to cutting me off. It'd most likely just piss him off and make him more aggressive towards me.I blast the horn at the oblivious people changing lanes in front or me because they're distracted talking on their phones or just not paying attention.
I've had a lady in in a parking lot back her big SUV right into me. That was in another car with a wimpy horn and I was honking at her because I noticed she didn't even turn her head to look back before backing out. Oblivious!

I don't know this and am just making a guess. But, when my wife and I bought our new 09 it had a "generic" security system installed by the dealership. We didn't want it and they were able to take the system out in probably 10 minutes. If your dealership installed the security system there's two horns probably because when they opened the box with the security system in it there was also a horn included in the kit and that is why it was installed.
When you say "generic" do you mean aftermarket (not the factory)? Now that's another story. Yes removal of an aftermarket alarm is as simple as snipping and capping off the wires from the brain and to the alarm horn. It's a 3 minute job (add 1 minute more to unscrew and remove the alarm horn).

Yes what are those electrical issues that caused Honda to put in 2 horns in our FITs? That's pretty much the info I was looking for (and still looking)when I started this thread.
