Do you mean the RPM limiter when the clutch is pushed in? If so, that's not launch control.

no, this is launch control. it doesnt go all the way up to 7k, it stops at 4500. If yall know anything about preloading at the track, I was doing this and it made the rpms stay at 4500.

That's not launch control. There's just a different rpm limiter when the clutch is in vs out. Launch control handles how the engine runs once the clutch is released to minimize tire slip while getting up to speed.

Launch control "combines the effort of an electronic-driven accelerator and a computer program in the car. The software drives the accelerator according to engine specifications to make the car accelerate smoothly and as fast as possible, avoiding spinning of the drive wheels, engine failure due to over-reving, and clutch and gearbox problems. This feature is only available at the start of the race, when the car is stopped in the starting grid. After the car is running at a certain speed, this computer program routine is disabled and everything is back to normal operation." - wikipedia. It's traction control that runs from 0 to some nominal speed. The fit just has a rev limiter that limits the engine to 4500 rpms when the clutch is pushed in.

personally I think it would be set just right with radials at the track.

Either way, it's not launch control. Is this still a debate?

And I'm not sure mounting radials to a stock GE8 or GD3 for that matter with or without any form of launch control or traction control is really worth while considering our power numbers are less than most 600cc bikes - and 5 times the weight...

stock yea that would be kinda pointless, but if somebody wanted to go have fun and see what it would do, i see no problem with that.

also, with some type of F.I. these lil cars are even more fun.

Seems appropriate for this thread:

He was probably also messing with "launch control."
