How many miles to a tank are you getting Sport A/T owners?

Since when did the Krimson Cardnal enlist in the Grammar Police?
I kid, I kid!
My gas gauge is currently midway between 1/4 tank and E...think I can make it home from work without stopping for gas? (32 miles mostly highway)
Tried to push it as far as I could this time instead of my usual 1/4 tank-fill-up ritual.

Funny story...before buying my FIT I test drove a Nissan Rogue and Nissan Juke...I had no idea that the Rogue was a hair above "E" when I started the test drive. It died about four blocks later in front of a middle school in the middle of the street.
Shame on me for not checking the gas gauge, and shame on the salesperson for giving me a vehicle to test drive that had no gas!

Well are you walking? I was about a quarter tank and decided to fill this morning even though at 273 miles...took 7.5 gallons...33.2 mpg..not bad for first tank with a lot of short trips and idling

According to the calculations that are made on Fuelly I am averaging 319.4 miles per tank. I usually fuel up just before or just after the light comes on. You can use the site to look at how other users do if you are really interested.
I mostly do city/suburb driving so you might expect better when it comes to highway.
Whiskey already led you to the site!

Fortunately I didn't sputter and stall on I-95...I made it! My low fuel indicator light came on at 283 miles on my trip odo since my last fill up. Put gas in at the Shell a few miles from my development...had to spend a little more than I usually do because I was fearful I'd get stuck on the narrow ass two lane bridge coming home from the BP in Titusville, NJ, where gas is anywhere from 8-10 cents cheaper per gallon.
9.187 gallons, 295 miles driven = approx. 32mpg
Not to far off from what I normally average. That rush-hour traffic on 95 is a killer.
That was a little scary, but at least now I have a ballpark of how far my FIT will go until the low fuel light comes on.

I get a Max of 480MPG!!
I Don't have a A/T though but I can commute from Chicago to Minneapolis ,MN its about a 420 mile trip when the gas light goes on. I can drove about 60 miles before I actually run out of gas. I was traveling 65mph on cruise control to Minneapolis on the return 80mph. gas light went on 60 miles before I arrived in Chicago. For everyday driving city and hwy. I get about 36mpg. Avoid high revving the engine shift to the next gear if you can, follow manufactures driving directions. If you drive on the highway to get the highest efficiency drive 55mph, I know it may seem slow but until they come out with a 6 or 7 speed transmission the you can drive 65 or 70mph. I know that the Civic Si has a 6 speed manual and I hope they come out with a Hybrid 6 speed Fit

I too don't have an auto (5MT) but I have a lifetime average of just under 38mpg (note that I have 2 winters on the car and only 1 summer so it should go back up and above 38 by my 2 yr anniversary). with a 10.6 gallon tank, that means my total range is 402 miles and when the light comes on (at 9 gallons used) at about 342 miles.
The civic would likely be better on highway economy but since my commute is mostly 50-60mph, The fit works just Fine for me. The fit will drop economy at higher speeds so keeping at the speed limit should maximize your economy.

You have to ask someone who's doing your exact driving route, not to mention someone who drives exactly like you. Too many variables, such as- do you use cruise control? Only your foot on the gas pedal? Are you a gas pedal rider, meaning you let off & push constantly to maintain a constant speed, blwoing tons of fuel? Very annoying habit, btw. All that and more factor in. In general, taking into consideration just your route, you will absolutely get stupendous mileage with the Fit. On the open highway, mpg's easily average 36-40. Use c-control and you may get even better, which is another reason to get the sport model. But what we all get is really meaningless to you. I average around 260 between fill ups and I let the tank drop to approx 1/8th. Usually between 1/4 and an 1/8, depending. I'm 90% suburban driving, not true city. All I know is on the highway, and using good driving habits, the sky seems the limit for mpg's with the Fit. Ideal conditions will yeild exception numbers- within hybrid territory really. Whenever I hit the open road, my mpg's soar.

My light came on today at about 320 miles...filled up at 339 miles and took 9.691 gallons...just about 35 mpg...not bad for 1169 miles on the car.......so very happy with what I can get out of a tank....only expect it to go up with switch over from winter blend gas and warmer weather
