Fit Sport (AT) shifter knob

How do you remove the shifter knob on the AT version of the Fit Sport? Usually its just a twist off, but with the button I am not sure how to remove it.

I am wanting to turn myself a custom knob. Something I have done for my other cars in the past, and I have had a hankering to make something on the lathe of late...

Here is one I made for my 914...

On the front of the shifter, there's a plastic cover that you pry open. Under that, there are two screws that actually hold the shifter in place.

Cool, thanks!
I wonder what the button actuates? I can't tell in those drawings.

there's a pin running vertically inside the stalk that the button presses down.
