AM I NUTS? Trading in my 2010 Fit Auto w/ only 210 miles!

Does the manual really have no overdrive for 5th gear? The A/T has OD for sure, and cruises at ~2500rpm on the highway.

OP - you are overthinking this...like others have said, go for the M/T. For $800, you are getting a good deal.
Also, in my humble opinion, automatics are only worthwhile on large luxury cars that you KNOW you are going to be cruising (or floating) in down the road (i.e. my 1998 LS400). Having a Fit is so go-cart like in comparison, a driver enjoying the agility and firmness, should also have the control over rev limits and shift points with a manual, something that is very limited in the AT...even using sportshift.
MT...do it.

i voted for keep the automatic, solely because you still have your mustang GT.
If you only had the 1 car I would say switch to satisfy your racing needs.
While the Fit is fine, after the honeymoon period, you'll probably begin to feel it's underpowered compared to your mustang, although perhaps much better handling. Then you'll begin to use the Fit possibly as you originally intended, for the versatility/cargo hauling and as an appliance rather than as driving for entertainment. Then consider how much the automatic really plays a role for you.
I know on my commute home, I could care less about the driving, i just want to get home... So during that period of time, not only would I prefer an automatic; but if someone offered to chauffeur me home, I'd gladly hand over the keys.
So think over exactly what you intend to do with the car and in what percentage these factors play. Is it solely going to be functional appliance purposes? Or are you intending to drive it for entertainment as well? And try to think not right now during the new car honeymoon period, but a bit down the road.

If I spent that much time on the highway where the 3.5k rpm would bother me, I'd probably go with a Civic as I'd want a more comfortable ride and better overall economy (I'd still probably get a 5MT - or 6MT). For my commute however, the fit is great and it is a very tossable fun car. I missed a MT a lot and needed something to haul the family around in for short trips.

It's almost official, the car will be in transit to the dealership tomorrow.
I will be picking the car up tomorrow night and writing them another check. I already plunged on my first mod and went in on the Apex-i Coilover group buy.

It's official, I now own a 2011 Alabaster Silver Fit Sport with a 5 speed manual transmission! This car probably has the lightest/smoothest clutch I have ever felt. The gearbox shifts as smooth as butter, I could not be more happy with my decison!
On another positive note, I now don't have to spend the time removing the crappy dealer pinstripes. I also got mudflaps with this one!

Thanks guys!
After a full day with the M/T I am extremely greatful that I was able to void the deal on the 2010 Auto. I'm going to work on getting a real camera here soon and will get better pictures. I can't wait for my coilovers now!
