Personally? To each his/her own... but I don't know why anyone switches the GE [sport] sideskirts for the Mugen ones, or any for that matter.

I REALLY like the way the stock GE sport skirts kinda' have that twist... it's unique to my eyes. I'd swap everything else for Mugen, for sure... just not the sideskirts. But again, to each his/her....................

However, if you must, have you tried eBay and/or Craigslist, etc.? How about junk yards? Don't think you'd have a huge chance of finding Mugen stuff at salvages... but it's worth a quick online try if nothing else turns up anything, I guess. Google could well prove to be your friend!

That's what I'd do.

Would be nice if someone who upgraded to the Mugen side skirts could sell their factory ones. If that does not pan out soon enough... You could try some local Honda dealers and see if they have Mugened up a Fit.

if your intentions are upgrading a base it might not be worth the headache to go with oem sideskirts. you will have to make about 18 square holes in the body in the exact correct locations ... but not have any templates to know where those locations are.

also the base undercoating comes up much higher and covers the area that needs to have the square holes / anchors, so it isn't exactly clear if you would have to remove some of the undercoating.

i ended up going mugen even though i prefered the oem, however i'm really liking the mugen now. also once you price out oem sides including all the fasteners and oversized shipping it is $400 at the cheapest. i paid $600 for my mugens.

I was under the impression he'd rather have the Mugens... but would settle for OEM sport skirts.

Why not look for both and see which materialize... you never know.

He should be able to turn up something... there's obviously a rather LARGE Honda world out there.

My 2 cents...

I am contemplating NOT doing the Mugen. This if you click on the link in my sig, you'll see I wanted to do since the day I bought my Fit. I put it off because it would include swapping bumpers. Now that I made that jump, I'm not sure I want the Mugen kit anymore. Regardless, the OEM is out of the question. Like previously mentioned lots of work to make that happen. It is cheaper in the long run to do the Mugen sides on a base because time=$. Not to mention the frustration involved if you were to place a hole or two in the wrong place.

Here is what I'm considering as an alternative.

4 Car Option Honda Fit 4 Car Option Polyurethane T-R Style Side Skirts - BLS-HFIT06TR-PU

Long story short... I'm lowering my Fit and I think the Mugen front will be damaged immediately. So, why waste the $$$? I have yet to find anyone with a GE8 who has installed these. I'm concerned because the say "Fits: 2006-2011 Honda Fit" Usually it's 2006-2008 or 09+ . This site claims it will fit both.

I hope this was some help.

These side skirts don't fit the 09+. GD side skirts are not the same size.

I sent them an email to see if they would guarantee proper fitment. I'm waiting for a response. they mount under so if fenderwell to fenderwell is the same length it will work. Maybe I should find a GD3 and make some measurements.

I have two GE8 side skirts OEM from the sport model I don't need that I'd be willing to sell. Let me know if you are still looking. Mine are Black and 3 weeks old. no dings or anything. (I bought the MUGEN ones)

How much do you want? I'm in Tx so I'd have to check on shipping.

i will most likely be coming down to Simi Valley some time this summer and would be willing to sell you mine - it would help with gas money - i can ship them too if you want. PM me your zip code and and how much your willing to pay (mine were on my car 4 days till i installed my mugen set, and to all the people that say the mugen skirts are too similar to the stocks, try this experiment with your lady friend,
she says "looks the same to me"
you say "if i added about two inches of girth do you think you'd like it better?"
they stick out almost 2 inches and hang about an inch lower - yes the stock ones are nice but the mugen ones finish the mugen look (IMO)

I still have GE8 side skirts in perfect condition available. boxed up and everything. I bought the Mugen ones so I don't need the fit sport ones. Mine in black (they're technically 1.5 weeks old). hit me up if you have interest. I'm looking for $150 for the pair or best offer, plus whatever shipping comes out to be.

Your projects look great!

Have you installed aftermarket suspension on the white Fit or will you be doing that on your latest project? Contemplating that for our 2010 Fit but looking for some real world feedback on installed suspension.
