not everyone will agree that the 'hellaflush' trend is 'sick'.

most people are function over form.

the people that stance their cars are ballsy.
i'd never do anything as extreme as that.

Go big or go home.
lol at functions > form on fit......really.

I can see if you boost your car or swap and have at least over 100whp and go to track to say you need function> form but come on now.... i doubt that many people race/push there fit to that limit.

I think the car looks pretty cool. I'm not big on the super low look either but I do like the overall look. I would think to be the sickest Fit in the ATL you should look do to something with the engine that will make you stand out. I know support for the GE is limited but perhaps some custom work from a shop that is local to you would put your ride over the top!

People don't push their car to that limit because they get positive reinforcement when they do things like this.

Relagating such a great vehicle to being so useless should be a crime. I have 4.5" of ground clearance and that is the lowest I would even remotely consider going on public roads. At least this trend is still staying in socal and ATL for the most part. I never see anything like that around here. Probably because we have snow to punish those who do.

Different aspects of the car appeal to different people. Some people might look at turboing the Fit as a waste- some praise the extra horsepower. I think it looks awesome- and because it's on bags, the owner can raise and lower it as he pleases. I mean if you slapped some oem wheels and suspension on it-everyone would be in love

The purpose of an automobile is to convert chemical energy into kinetic energy, very inefficiently. (What percentage of the initial energy gets converted to heat again? Was it 80 or 90?)

Just kidding.

But seriously, it's very lonely on my side of the tracks. I don't exactly have a big FI Club to feel camaraderie with like the hellaflush guys do.

To put this differently, let's talk about motivation. What exactly does being hellaflush do to the automobile that is beneficial to the driving experience... Nothing. But then why do people do it? I would argue they do it because it is fashionable, because they are socially reinforced that this is a good or cool thing. I believe these are the same people who would have been ricers in the late 90s early 00s tuner scene with big spoilers and garish body kits. The fashions change, but the people don't.

=

=

Going hellaflush (if you don't pay someone else to do it) does require some basic to intermediate mechanical skills and a small tolerance for risk. This is one aspect of it that I respect. But, going FI (If you're not just buying a kit and you are tunning yourself) requires intermediate mechanical skills, intermediate mathematical skills, basic chemistry skills, intermediate physics skills, and a much greater tolerance for risk. It is a very interdisciplinary exercise. Yet, nobody in the hellaflush crowd ever talks about the mechanics of what they do unless it involves rubbing and this is a very easy thing to correct with camber, tires, offset, and fender rolling. I just wish more people would aspire to something greater. Even I'm not satisfied with where I am at. Who knows, maybe in 5 years I'll purchase (or even build) a cnc machine to create my own custom parts. I don't ever see this with the hellaflush guys, they slam their car, think their God's gift to the world, and spend the next 2 years talking about it and recruiting others to do the same and perhaps mulling over the next must have bolt-on parts.

Believe it or not I actually played with the idea of buying a foxbody instead of going turbo. I would be going alot faster with alot less work. But, after only a weeks research I realized that everything that could ever be done with the car, had already been done. It was just a matter of how deep your pockets were, not how mechanically inspired you were. The same goes for the hellaflush people. I doubt they ever went to home depot, looked at a 2 3/8 steel fence post and thought, "damn that would make a good charge pipe"

Don't get me wrong, there are some FI guys who do it just because they think its fashionable, but because of the higher intellectual cost of admission (when not buying a kit) there are fewer of them on this side.

Anyway, I'm done ranting. It's been fun.

He has the first supercharged USDM Fit.. Speaking of facepalming...

He is also the head honcho here from what I gather..... There is also build thread in his signature......

And yes to most of us in the tuning and building community that Fit is pretty much stock......

I am willing to bet he is dropped on the stock roll centers......

You sure seem to like inappropriate and excessive use of ellipses.......................................... .........................................

Any ape with a basic tool set can do what was done to that Fit. Though the ape might know better.

I love the stanced cars, there I said it. There is some thing about a car with flush wheels or with a little bit of poke that I just love.

As for that Fit yea its nice but I can think of three off the top of my head that are much sicker

-Felix
-JDMChris

OKAY EVERYONE: LETS SIMPLIFY - CAUSE I'M TIRED OF THIS

People do stuff like this to make their cars look "cool" or whatever. Cars are rolling sculptures as well as machines capable of performance. Some choose one over the other.

These hellaflush people even put "I love driving slow" stickers on the backs of their cars. For the performance people in this thread, can you even imagine that message being associated with you and your car? It's obvious these two groups are shouting across an even deeper chasm than they realize.

Y'all all own the same car, but the people driving them come from all walks of life. Take each of us out of our vehicles, and there would probably still be the same overall viewpoint against one another, except it would show how the personalities behind the faceless decisions we criticize, would most likely be reflected throughout the spectrum.

Like this dude, who may be having fun arguing with a bunch of reasonable and smart people who really have better things to do with their time - but they own a Fit, so... let's help them procrastinate from getting their homework done and get riled up! I recently made the mistake of entering the "eyelid" thread with my input. Messages deleted. Should have known better.

I think felix holds the torch of #1 fit. k20 turbo, bagged, custom paint/body kit, all done very clean.

This is a nice looking GE8 I agree, he has done some nice work.

Im not into the whole hellaflush issue, however they do LOOK very nice. Its one of those love/hate relationships. I love it, but would not do it to my car.
Off that JDM Chris' fit is hot, and he races the S**T out of it.
Hands down though Felix for the win. He stuffed a K. Yeah. Still even a K I belive is unuseable, unless you go straight in a Fit?

OP posted car is Hot. He spent his money where he saw fit, and that is the moral of modding any car. DO IT FOR YOU NOT FOR OTHERS.

Car looks good, I respect what he has done. To each his own, his car let him do with it what he wants. If you have nothing positive to say, I'd not say anything at all.
