I used to have an 05 CR-V that I traded in 3 years later for a 09 Fit Sport. My reasoning at the time was I needed a better car payment but if it wasn't for that I would kept the CR-V. It had a better ride, roomier cabin and a little more above the ground. I still enjoy the Fit (even more now that it is paid off ) with the better gas mileage, comfortable seats and ample cargo room with the seats down but I still like the CR-V better mainly because of the roomier cabin. With anyone else in the car I feel we are on top of each other. If I'm alone in the car then its not an issue. Having the bigger engine in the CR-V is helpful too.

My fiancee owns an 09 CR-V and I have the 07 Fit. The CR-V is much more comfortable, more power, quieter, better on long trips as previous posters have mentioned, better for off road. The gas mileage sucks though, even on the highway, I can't manage to get more than 28 MPG even on long trips. We have the AWD version so the rear wheels eat up some power too.

The Fit is way more fun to drive even in Auto compared to the CRV. The CRV feels like a bigger, sloppier handling fit, with more power pretty much.
