Does anyone know the maximum capacity the USB port will read, ie. 2 GB, 4 GB, 256 GB, etc?

I want hook up a USB drive and don't know the maximum size that will work in the Fit. Specifically I'm looking at a thumb drive with a capacity of 32 GB. Yes I know the number of audio files will be overwelming.

 

You should be more worried about the number of files and folders. I don't recall, but I believe the limits might be 99 folders 256 files per folder, or something along those lines?

With music, you will most likely hit the file/folder limit before the capacity limit.

You maybe better off just getting a USB SDHC cardreader and a few sdhc cards instead of 1 massive thumb drive.

 

i am running an 8gb flash with no problem. shouldve bought a 16 gb on black friday to test out. oh well.

 

I have a 16gb on mine, no issues other than having a lot of folders to scroll through!!!

 

120GB western Digital elements HD and no problems... well like he said "lots of folders" but i keep it on random 90% of the time.

 

From the owner's manual: "700 folders or 65535 files".

 

no problem with 8gb, as stated the interface sucks tho
