USDM to JDM Conversion for Dummies... fill me in

So I have plans...

search got me to this:
GE8 usdm to jdm conversion

Need a quick short list on what to do and needed to pull off a conversion...
Other than the cutting and shortening to make the JDM bumper fit... what else is to be done? Are JDM headlight same as USDM? Are the hood the same too? What stay and what goes?

Conversion will be done by a local tuner shop. They are in the process of gathering what my options for the kits are. I just need to be filled in with the key points so I won't be lost on the process and in our conversations.

Thanks!

I found this on the link you posted with a parts outline from AJR

JDM headlights
JDM hood & seals
JDM hood latch /prop
JDM hood hinch
JDM latch
JDM radiator support
JDM rebar
JDM front bumper
JDM grill & inserts
JDM fenders
JDM fender support
JDM fender liner
JDM side fender cover piece
JDM wiper motor cover **will not cover up everything**
- hinches have to be modified **will not direct bolt on**
- SRS sensor has to be relocated
- Washer fluid bottle has to be replaced
- custom brackets for AC condensor
Holy crap.

There is a guy in Texas (IIRC) that did the conversion. It's a blue one, but I can't find the thread.

Yeah looks like it... and you still have a large gap on the front window/pillar per blackndecker on this thread https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...omparison.html

I'm still looking for the thread of the guy who actually converted.

edit: here's a pic of the gap on the AJR GE

This conversion is not for the faint of heart. Too much really if you ask me.

And then there's the steering wheel. If you're obsessing over the details this much, surely you aren't leaving it LHD!

At this point, if it were up to me (and had the $$$), I'd say F-it all and import a JDM Fit... maybe one with AWD?!?

I had thought about doing an AWD conversion on Mirage I had.
