Picking up My New Fit Tomorrow

Picking up My New Fit Tomorrow
Picking up my 2010 never been driven (plastic still on the wheels) Blue Fit Sport tomorrow morning. I got the .9% APR financing for 5 years from Honda. This will be my first Honda. My wife bought a new 2006 CRV in Jan '06. At 50K miles the car has been completely trouble free. Oil changes,1 b set of brakes and tires. She is hard on a car and drives every day. I have never seen such a trouble free car in my 26 years of driving. I'm coming off 6 years of driving BMW, and have never been out of warranty there. I'm looking forward to my new Fit Sport. I have purchased the carpeted and all weather mats, cargo tray, cargo cover, and mudguards. I will leave the all weather mats in there, as the snow is right around the corner in Central New York State. What should I be looking for or asking for when I pick up the car? I will try out my iPod before I leave the dealer.
TIA

Congrats!
I'm picking up mine too You will LOVE it. My husband and I bought a Black 2010 Fit Sport in May and have been sharing it. Now that we need a second car, I just bought the same thing in White. And I pick it up tomorrow. Can't wait.
When we got ours in May, the sales guy gave us a little guided tour of our new baby before we left the lot, so he/she will probably cover everything that you could have possibly asked.

Oh, also, bring the white ipod cord you have with you.
The ipod hook up is a USB port in the upper glove compartment. So you'll need to plug the white cord that you use to connect your ipod to your computer into there. I have an extra cord that I just always leave plugged in there for my ipod. Once it's plugged in, it is integrated through your radio - pressing the AUX button inputs it and then you can control it through the radio. So convenient.

Thanks. I planned on bringing the the iPod cord with me and leaving it in the car.Yes this is a very mice feature. Did not come with my last car and had to pay alot of money for this from the dealer. OEM integration is the best way to go imo. Having the audio in jack is also very nice.
Congrats on the new car.
Not to throw in a negative on the car but don't get too excited about the iPod control on the dash. Many on here don't like it because it has it's annoying quirks. One of which gets more annoying the more songs, artists, tracks you have stored. the integrated setup is awful if you have one of the 80GB iPods that are full. (you may want to conisder an afermarket solution for a fully filled iPod.)
I use a flash drive and my wife's iPod gets plugged in occasionally. it works for us as we have a few hundred songs stored on it with about 50 artists. It's nice to have the feature but the Harman Kardon Drive+Play added to our ridgeline for $20 is a MUCH better setup (although it may not work with newer iPods)
Again, congrats on the new Fit Sport. We're almost at 20K miles and I still smile every time I hop in to drive it. (It's my commuter car - My wife drives the '06 Ridgeline and it JUST past 50K miles.)

Thanks for the information. I didn't realize I could use a flash drive. The iPod adaptor in my previous car (oem) was also quirky, and resistant to large libraries behaving unpredictably. That's why I can use the audio input jack as a backup if needed. I am going to MISS my Sirius though. I detest anything that is aftermarket! Thinking of getting a smartphone (I'm due for a phone) and getting the Sirius App. I can plug the phone into the aux jack and no mess.
Thanks for the welcome.

180 GB for $20? Is this right? I thought alot of data/songs caused the interface to bog down.

First off, congrats on getting your fit! Great choice on the cargo tray too. The day after I got my car I spilled ALL of my gym water in my trunk. I just poured it all out of the tray and was on my way lol
As for mp3s, I have an iPod but never use it in the car. Instead I use the hundreds of 2gb/4gb/8gb flash drives I've accumulated over the years. I just swap em out when I want new music.

Now that's a good deal! Does the HD tolerate riding in the car bumps and all? I understand the FAT32. What music formats does the radio recognize? I have a Mac and have songs in MP3 AAC DRM Protection from the Itunes store and that's probably it. I put some songs on a flash drive to try it out and got "unrecognized format" on some. I think it still read them all. I have to read the manual yet,but would love to get an answer on file format compatibility here.
music formats?.. as far as I know just mp3's, but i would assume it can read the aac/drm files off a normal HD as it would read them off your Ipod in the same way... right?

I have to do some more testing for formats. I would think it read the same as the iPod. The only reason I ask is because I got the "unrecognized format" on the radio at times while playing from the the flash drive. I can't believe how much you get in this little car.
