I was curious to give the Fit front end a little more of an aggressive look so I thought this was a good option. I shot off an email to Tim at TFB and he was nice enough to respond quickly. This is what he had to say....

We are hoping to have eyelids for the GE8 soon. We just need to make a pattern from a GE8 and get some pictures with the eyelids installed. Please check our website again later. Thanks

Tim

I'm hoping they come out soon. I think it would be a nice little touch for the GE8.

Please support if interested.
Where did you get your yellow film for fog light? and how much? Thanks!

I think Silver eyelids will look best if you have a stock hood.

Yes that's true now that I see that but I plan on getting a black vinyl for my hood in the future...any further advice? Lol.

you'd want it to match the hood color

People need to look up "boser blick hood" and learn how this is done right.
Most boser hoods cut across the headlights at a similar angle as the eyelids, like this one I have for my Jetta.

To each his own- I prefer the sharp edges to the rounded ones in the pics above. The eyelids work great for me and stop me from blinding others with my HID.

I agree with blassty, the eyelids usually look best the same color as the hood.

As for vinyl eyelids go, they are the only type of eyelids I run on my cars. The vinyl eyelids sit flush on the headlights. Plastic eyelids attach with 3M tape and stick up off of the headlights, debri can get trapped under. Plus if you try to remove 3m tape from your headlight later it probably will not come off nicely.

The vinyl eyelids can be removed later if you want to change the look. The adhesive is car friendly and you do not have to get them painted. Paint can chip and is expensive. This part of the car is subject to rocks chips, etc. We offer quality eyelids for a fraction of the cost.

Nice Jetta! I prefer the angled look as well, I think it looks meaner. Like the car is glaring at you.

We can probably find a vinyl that matches blue sensation pearl. We would need to compare some color charts to get the best match. I see you are in CA, are you ever near Morgan Hill / San Jose area?

That would be great, it will not take long to find a color match. I will also bring all the color charts to the next Fit meet to find matches for the colors we do not offer.

Agreed, they are supposed to be sharper, and it looks good an the Jetta. The Fit however - not so much. It's just the wrong type of headlight design, but if you guys are happy with this, then great.
