Talking Early Christmas present for my GE

I have been eyeing these wheels since the first day I bought my GE

My good friend Charlie and I just picked them up last night.

Im not a big fan of the blue center caps and valve stems. I guess I can pick up a black set that was made for the MF10s in the future.

These wheels are a bit old school for my Fit, but I do like them a lot better then Mugen's current offerings.

All I need now are some struts and lowering springs Time to start saving

Love the blue accents, they would match my Blue Sensation Pearl Fit perfectly!

Thanks guys!

I will look into having the center caps and valve stems stripped and anodized black. My car is white and I dont like the way the blue looks on white.

Now the search for a suspension

Thanks guys.

I think my days of coilovers are over. I just dont care as much as I used to lol. I am in the market for structs/shocks and springs though.

Just found out, the center caps are not anodized - they are powder coated in a candy apple blue. The valve stems are anodized though.
So that being said, stripping the blue caps are easy. I might strip and have them clear powder coated like what Danielg did (thanks Choro!). His car is SICK BTW.

As for the valve stems, I'll probably leave them alone...having those de-anodized and anodized is quite costly for what they are IMO.

I wonder if my OEM GE8 stems will fit these wheels? hummmm

What kinda suck tho is that I'll have to dismount all of my tires for the sensors The tires that came with these Mugens are ready to be installed.

just roll around with the light on. unless you feel like paying all that $ to get rid of a light. or buy new sensors and have honda sync them. even then, just to get rid of a light -- not worth it imo

Couldn't you swap the valve stem from the current wheels onto those wheels? I mean, don't the TPMS sensor and valve stem connect together and hold each other in place?

Then, it would be cheaper than changing the color of the blue stems and offset the cost of swapping just the TPMS.

Edit: hah, nevermind, apparently I didn't read one of the messages thoroughly enough.

But yeah, I say try to swap the stem and TPMS together.

Yeah I think I will drive around with the sensors off. I'll wait until I need new tires and go from there. It would be awesome if I can use the factory valve stems on the mf8s.
I wonder is anyone tried it.

Yeah I'll post some pics once I install the suspension and wheels.

The only issue I have as far as suspension is that there isnt much aftermarket support for shocks and struts...its mostly springs or coilovers from what I can see.

Thank goodness for Jasco! The factory powder coat didn't stand a chance

If you look closely there is quite a bit of corrosion, except for one of them. I tried to buff out the tarnish with the buffing wheel but its a bitch. The only issue is that it polishes the cap. Looks like its going take a bunch of elbow grease to remove it.

I'll take some pics once they're on...after I lower the car though

I managed to remove all of the corrosion off the center caps. It appears that Mugen didnt intend them to seen without a color coat and didnt do a super nice job of machining as my friend's M7s...what I was hoping.

Too bad they look bling bling now. I'll bring them to the powder coat shop and see they can do, maybe they have a product that dulls the metal. I may drop by the anodize shop as well and see what they can do.
