Changing cluster
Im thinking of changing my 09 cluster to a jdm cluster. I am worried that when i sell the car in the future the miles will be different and there will be a problem when selling the car. If the miles are saved on the ecu then yes but if its only saved on the cluster i am fine. Can anyone that knows for sure help me with this question? Thanks

I too thought about possibly buying one of the red-themed [JDM style] clusters just to pop in once in awhile for something different. Don't get me wrong, I like the USDM blue theme much better... but the red would offer an interior change every now and then. Wasn't sure if it would even be possible/practical though.
Also, 555, isn't the actual JDM cluster arranged differently than the USDM cluster? I mean, wouldn't the tach/speedo/etc. be in the opposite positions of the USDM model cluster? Never really payed attention to that.
If you have any clue where I may have seen the red-themed [everything else USDM] cluster, please let me know.
Also, I checked the price out on College Hills or Bernardi (or somewhere) not long ago, and was surprised to find the clusters are definitely NOT anywhere approaching cheap! I mean outrageously expensive!
Whatever, great idea the OP has!

i was under the impression the cluster is not plug and play. everything plugs in and lights up, but the gauges dont actually give readouts. i thought about doing this too. if you do, make buddy buddy with your service tech cause a lot of places report mileage during tune-ups to carfax now, and if your carfax read TMI (true mileage unknown) you'll be screwed.
