After the rain...no more horn
2 years ago I installed Fiamm El Grande horns myself on my Fit. The other day, driving thru rare rain storm on the freeway, my horn now does not work.
Anyone have any clues?

Water probably got in it.... make sure it doesn't have any water it. If it does drain it and let it dry completely. Might take a while. Mine got water in it and it was really quiet. I thought it was dead or dying. I drained it out and let it dry and it is back to normal. After that I changed the angle it was mounted so no water would collect in it.
Also check the fuses...make sure it didn't pop a fuse.

I am guessing water. Same thing happened to my Integra. Only difference is the Integra tried to turn into a submarine as I missed a very deep spot of water. Dried out after a few days and all was good.

Thanks for the tips guys.
Well, my horn resurrected itself today. Even though I checked most of the connections, it still didn't work. The 2 horns were angled downward as I installed them, so I don't think water got in them.
But, later I tried pressing the horn continuously and soon it made a little BAP! After pressing it often it came back to full blast. So though it looks as though some component needed time to dry out, I dunno from where.
Anyway, it's working now.

Well cheers to that.
I might consider the possibility that when it was wet, the water shorted the connection between the horns power (the wire that goes to the horn(s)) and the ground (chassis which the horn is bolted to). Thus bypassing the horn when it was wet and as it was drying out the power started traveling through the horn again until it was fully dry and you have your full powered horniness back
