First paint chip

First paint chip
I was just gassing up my Fit and my wife noticed some missing paint on the hood. Darn stones.
Now I own touch-up paint in Storm Silver Metallic. I'll know soon how well it covers up these flaws. My previous car was a 1999 Saturn SL-1 with a plastic body so I didn't have to worry about this kind of thing. Now I need to reeducate myself on looking after a metal body.
The guy at the dealership said to apply the touch-up paint in as many layers as possible, a little at a time. I guess we'll see.

I feel your pain. I had my first scratch/chip on my SSM hood the first week I had it. Right after that I applied 3M clear bra on the front of my car using bulk sheets. Has worked beautifully.

Applied it to my wife's TSX hood right after as well.
Word of advice when applying touch up. Use a toothpick to apply it in fine layers. I applied probably 10 layers to mine then I cleared it with very little clear touch up and then I polished it smooth with my DA polisher. Its not perfect but looks 10x better than it did.
Just to make you feel better I even have a rock chip on my roof. Talk about a rock being thrown up from another car.

My previous car had metallic paint and it does require a little knowledge when you do touch ups. I got my paint from Touch Up Paint Online - Remove Car Scratches and the guys there told me I have to shake the paint really well as the metal flakes sink to the bottle easily. After you shake it, apply it in very thin coats right away. If you put too much on, it sometimes won't match since there might be too much paint and it will appear darker.
So apply very little at a time and spread it out evenly until it matches
