Sport Mode limits?

Hello,

I drive in sport mode in the city alot and occasionally I might end up on the highway or in fast moving traffic so I have questions about sport mode:

1) is there a speed limit for sport mode? I've noticed when taking it to 45 or above the engine gives power but it might stutter while the pressure I keep on the accelerator is steady

2) can shifting out of sport into normal while moving hurt the tranny? This is for those duh moments when I find myself on the highway in sport mode and dont want to go to the shoulder for a complete stop to shift into normal.

from what I understand sport locks out the highest gear so I thought going into normal would just allow that gear back in.

Any additional help of info would be appreciated. Unfortunately there is not alot of info about this.

S mode in automatic fits can be shifted from S to D without damaging anything.

S mode engages 1-4 on full to half throttle even when you see 5 in the gear indicator box on your gauges. 5th gear will engage automatically when you ease off the throttle in "5".

After 3rd gear you have to paddle up the rest of the gears when in S mode, that stutter you are sensing is the torque lockup in the tranny.
