RE: '08 Fit Sports m/t with 95k potential buy
Hi Fit Gurus,
Just wanted to hear your take on a '08 Fit with 95k on it. I'm thinking of buying. Record is clean, one owner, pix look good. Haven't seen it yet but about to. Would appreciate your Fit experience/know-how based inputs. Thanks

Excellent Condition: $10,690
Good Condition: $9,790
Fair Condition: $8,440
So I would say you will be looking to pay between $8,440 to $10,690.

Thanks for the reply Black. I was not as much referring to price range but your thoughts on a '08 Fit with 95k. I'm in CA. Looks clean but thinking more of maintenance or service issues/pointers, would be nice to know. It's under $9.5k and dealer selling it.
Where are you from? You can check out the bluebook value on kbb.com and look for private party value sale base on where you are located. From where I'm at the value for the 2008 m/t Honda Fit Sport with 95000 are below:
Excellent Condition: $10,690
Good Condition: $9,790
Fair Condition: $8,440
So I would say you will be looking to pay between $8,440 to $10,690.

TY Miamifit. Yes, so true. Saw another '08 Sports with A/T only 28k miles but says "salvaged." Yeah, how much is your peace of mind worth, right? Looks good and clean though (going for $8450). We'll see what the owner has to say...

^^ I would say that the best way to go is to buy a Fit with manual transmission but of course that is personal preference. If you're buying the fit from a dealer, I would say it maybe a better deal since the dealer will give you a little warranty(3000 miles is standard) than in a private sale with that much mileage. Take it for a test drive, check the brakes, check the oil level and check for leaks, and if the dealer know ask what type of oil did the previous owner use in it(synthetic or regular). Aside from that I cannot think of anything else since I did not have any major problems with my GD.

Thanks Black. I rolled the dice yesterday and picked up the salvaged '08 Sport with 28k miles. Looks good, feels good, sounds good when I drove it. We'll see... The guy's getting me an owner's manual (didn't have one) and a 2nd key (only had one). This is my 1st Honda ever. Question Black: Noticed the "oil life %. How do you reset that when you change oil? Thanks...
