A lot of people really like the clearbra and think it's worth the price. To me, the plastic front bumper cover on the Fit is already a sort of sacrificial surface. Somehow, if it gets scratched or dinged, I don't mind as much as it happening to sheet metal. At least plastic doesn't rust. And I don't feel as bad cleaning the bumper cover aggressively. That's why I chose to protect just the front edge of the hood for a lower cost. I could also use the savings to buy a new bumper cover and have it painted in a few years if I wanted to. But that's just my logic - everyone is different.
I may switch from the magnet bra to a clearbra on just the front of the hood because I don't think the magnetbra will do well in winter. I would worry about salt getting under the edge. But for now I have an older car that will do the bulk of the winter driving so winter protection for the Fit is not a priority.

check out here for clearbra.

havent looked for the fit specifically but they sell in pieces so just get the hood. installation is actually pretty easy and user installable (they have a how to vid at their site) but if you're concerned have a tint shop install it.

What is "SETA"? What brand is the deflector, and was it easy to install? Thanks!

I removed it for last winter, so I can't give you any input. It's off again for this winter too. I still don't think I want to risk road salt getting under it.
But my winter beater car ('93 Escort wagon) is still alive and well so the Fit won't be getting out much once the salt season starts.

An old thread, but yes the 3M clear bra is the best option. Expensive to do the bumper and most of the hood? yes the bumper on the Fit is huge. You can get the leading foot of the hood installed for maybe $150 though. Will do better than the magnetic, vinyl LeBra type cover popular in the 80's, or the truck style plastic bug deflectors though...

Magnetic bra's may tend to trap moisture that can harm the paint.
