Working on a DIY Cowl Scoop

Progress is slow

It is functional, but I am concerned about water getting directed to the intake. If I had the stock airbox this would not be a problem. Plus, it looks like ass closer than 5 feet

Needs to be painted black

not as bad from 5 ft away.

I'll probably cut out the screen to increase the scoop size.

I've been searching through the ricer section of all my local auto parts store but I can't find any sccops that really fit over the opening well

Does anyone know the part# for the cover on the cowl?

Fit has a stock air duct to direct air from infront of the hood near the airbox. All you need to do is mod the airbox like mine (in the engine diy forum) and find some way to connect the scoop on the underside of the hood to the airbox. Done.

I think you meant....74219-TK6-A00 but this is for the whole cowl assembly. $123 worth...ouch.

#74222-TK6-A00 is the COVER, PASSENGER HOOD HINGE

I agree...the stock under hood duct provides plenty of fresh air to that location..especially if you mod it to connect to it.
Can you please post the link to the engine diy form thread you referenced.

I think it makes more sense to block hot air from the engine bay and utilize the cool air the under hood scoop provides that way there is a "pocket" of cool air at the intake inlet. Like so (pic of mine)...but that just my opinion....I'm no rocket scientist.
