JDM rear H problem GE8

Well, I stuck the JDM H badges on the involved way by removing the garnish and the grill. Just didn't have the heart to take a putty knife to my FIT. I prepped the surfaces by carefully removing the 'blips' cast in to receive the US badge then cleaned the contact surfaces with alcohol.

I noticed the rear badge doesn't quite match the contour of the USDM garnish. Some where around here I saw a post mentioning this on the GE8's and it seems the OP simply held it in place and things worked out. Well that's what I did, but today I notice that the badge is slightly separating from the garnish.

What to do? A concern is the gap will allow free water to enter and in the winter that might not be what I want.

The front badge went on like a charm -that's one BA badge

try letting it sit in the sun for couple of hours and push in hold in to place. or bust a heat gun.

I took a heat gun to mine right after I put it on. Just to give it alil shaping. Mine is very tight with almost no gap anywhere.

I live in Asia and owning a jdm version of the Fit (Jazz)

I experienced the same problem with u sir. The pic u posted is exactly the same with what I saw after sticking the emblem.

no sweat, nothing is wrong with it. Everyone here puts on a thin layer of water sealant (u can even use glass sealant) along the gap line.

There is no problem with appearance after that cause the layer is THIN and it is not visible unless ur sticking ur nails along the sideline and u can feel the layer.

Hope this helps

J3SS13, thanks for the info. I like the idea of glass sealant. I might give that a try.

So what are you driving? Post up some photo's of you have some. We all like good local background shots.
