Scotts Canadian Taffeta White GE8 (56k doom)

Hey guys I'm the proud new owner of a 2009 Fit LX (CDM model )

So far I have put about 1300km on the car, and I've installed a T1R short shifter, Eibach Sportline springs, thrown on some XXR 501s in 15x8 +15, and a few decals.

Heres the progress! All pictures are from my Blackberry so please forgive the shoddy quality. Im hoping to get some proper professional photos too (rolling shots!!)

Day one, I meet my new baby at the dealership with all of 21km on her, plastic still on the seats etc

I take it home and a couple hundred KM later I have the 501s on.

Future plans include getting lower, and swapping wheels. Engine is gonna stay stock for awhile.. I'm parting out my turbo civic for this car so I've had my fun with mad power for awhile haha. I just wanna drive this, save up and buy an NA1 for a toy.

Thanks for looking and stay tuned!

Thumbs up

Wow looking good man. One of the better looking bases out there (even though you do have the wing). Are you rubbing with your wheel setup?? Im pretty sure thats crazy low offset for our cars.

Cant wait to see more

Interesting look on the car. Normally don't like the base with no front splitter but with the wide wheels and mudguards it looks pretty good.

Eliminating that black bracket in the grille would help and as some base fit owners have done - paint the grille black.

The wheels and offset look surprisingly good as well. Any rubbing issues?

Thanks for all the compliments guys! I'm really happy with how the wheels play off the body too. I still think the same wheels in 16" would look better however.. HMMM... I have only rubbed once in the back over a wavy kinda bump but overall zero rubbing. They are 15x8 +15mm w/ 195/50 tires stretched on. Handles great now too, with the short shifter it feels like a relatively luxurious go kart lol.

Yes at first I was a little chapped I didn't opt for the sport model, but the base front end slowly has grown on me and now that its lowered I'm in love with it. Kinda looks like a tugboat lol. When some lips become available for base model bumpers (if ever..) I will have even more to work with. Was considering painting the rear diffuser black but I'm not sold on it yet.

Now the question is, to tint or not to tint? I've always had no tint (I like being seen and the visibility at night) and have already adopted the term 'aquarium' for my car haha.

Edit: and yes I've been meaning to take the block heater cord out of the bumper lol. Having these damn Canadian winters means every car comes factory with block heaters haha. I don't need it for a few more months though.

Ooo Ontario lol I envy your roads and weather. Our roads in Edmonton are bruutall... -40c winters and +40c summers take their toll on everything around here.

Well I don't know about you guys, but in Canada there are 3 trim levels, DX - LX - Sport. The DX comes with nothing.. the LX came with the spoiler I guess, couple other things like the tweeters etc. I didn't get the USB port however I work at Honda and I can buy the kit and install it myself for under 150$.

I too have an LX and no block heater.

You'll notice that in fact you don't have tweeters. Just the grills with empty space behind. The DX also has the grills without tweeters. Only the Sport has tweeters.

^^Your old civic is as old as I am haha I was born in 88.

Oh, I just saw the grills and assumed it was there. I wonder how hard it would be to wire them in.

Well, Edmonton being the most northern capital of all the provinces, block heaters come standard here

Sweet progress,

Slightly off topic, but you should tell your Type R friend that his R has the wrong rear sticker, that's the one for the yellow and black ITRs, the white ones have the darker outline.

Man, I really like the stance of that wide 15 on ur Fit. Any rubbing issue on this setup sir? Did u roll the vender at all? Hows the ride on the 15 wheel? They are supposed to be softer than the 16. Please correct me if im wrong. But ur car has a deep JDM taste around it
