Saddest Day of my brand new Fit
My brand new 2010 fit, less than 3000 miles got 4400.00 worth of damage by some ghetto thug valet driver. We were stuck in a traffic jam going out the garage. While waiting for the cars in front me to move, we saw the valet driver grab the keys and ran to the parked car, get in and backed up to about 30 mph crashing into my door.
my car is out for 2 weeks( body shop estimate repair time). The valet company is paying for everything from the tow, rental car and damage. The door needs to be replaced, window motor, rocker panel, trim, apillar, door latch etc.

Jesus Thugging Christ, that looks really bad. Why would someone back up going 30 mph? What about the car he was valeting? It must have been damaged too, did he get fired? Are they also paying you for the inconvenience?

yeah that really sucks. On the upside I'm hoping that you and anyone else in the car are okay? You should add to the "deal" they made (to pay for everything) that that guy should get fired for complete negligence!

My condolences.
I can relate. With less than 3000 miles on my New Fit, when I was just getting to the point of relaxing and really enjoying it, I was rear ended. Very Minor damage but it still sucked.
My advice? Make sure you are happy with the body shop and make sure they do a very complete inspection. That's a side impact you don't want even minor frame misalignment or damage.
I suppose accidents can always happen but I was so bummed out. For 6 years I drive a 17 year old Accord and barely a scratch or incident. 2 months into my New Fit Ownership? Someone forgets to brake at a stop light....arrrgh....
It hurts, but bodyshops can repair. Just make sure it is done correctly and completely.

it was a 2006 Mercedes. I tink it was a slp 600 or something like that. It messed up the bumper. I think the valets were in hurry so they can get tips. more cars, more tips.
All I got is a sorry , it happens quite often comment from the manager

totally agree. I used to be a painter in the body shop long time ago. I worked at several different places. the valet comapny wanted me to take the car to their bodyshop. Told them to eat my Fit. I'm taking it where I will feel comfortable and a friend of mine works at that dealership.

yah, definitely choose the bodyshop of your choice and let your insurance company deal with the talk. you may have to initially pay the deductible but you should be reimbursed quickly.
GL with the repair.

I also was a victim to new car damage. I just got my Fit in Feb. this year and its already going into the Body shop next week. Apparently some kids in my neighborhood were throwing rocks at a shed near where I park my Fit. You can imagine what happened. I didn't see it and no one owned up to it. It will be in the shop for 3 days, and cost $850.
