Gasket around Right rear door getting worn

Hi I noticed the "tubular" and very flimsey rubber gasket around my back passenger side door was worn in a fashion that looked like some thing was rubbing on it. I took it to the dealer and was told it was from people's back sides sliding across it getting in and out of the car's back seat, that was a good explanation on the dealer's part but I very rarely have anyone in the back seats! It looks like friction just wore a hole in the thin rubber.
The dealer replaced it at no charge but I am pretty certain the door is not aligned properly or something to that effect.
I just want to give a heads up to a potential problem. I don't know why that stuff is so thin but none the less keep an eye on it.
I would like to hear if anyone has a similar situation.
Take care.

Adjust the rubber door stops? Just spin them out a bit. Maybe that will help?
