Using a USB drive with the USB interface, do iTunes songs work?
I've read a little bit about people using the USB in their cars to plug in a USB flash drive rather than their iPod or iPhone. I assume you just load your mp3s on it and it will find them as it does with your iPod. But I am wondering how it works with music purchased from iTunes. Usually you have to "activate" iTunes on computers and sharing music doesn't usually work since they are "locked".
Anyone know anything about this?

That does help. Thanks! I didn't want to go out and purchase a designated USB drive without knowing since 90% of my music has been purchased from iTunes. I have a mac, not a PC, but I assume its the same principle to load them on.
One more question... have anyone been able to do playlists or shuffle all songs with this?

The USB drive will not support playlists. If your music is DMR protected, the Fit's stereo will not "see"it, & will not play the file. If, after loading your files into the USB you want to add a new file, it will go in as the last file. You can use the "random" setting on the stereo to shuffle your tracks.

Purchased Music that has not been purchased in MP3 Format will not work. the Fit Supports MP3 and WMA ONLY! It does not support the iTunes format so if you have music that has been purchased from iTunes and not in MP3 format, it will not work from a flash drive. You MUST have an iPod to play these types of files.
