Need some wheel opinions...

What do you guys like better? I have been thinking one of these might look good on my car.

Right now these are my first choice...

But I also thought a red wheel might look good on a black car...

the red would look good if you had red H's. it would be a nice splash of color to compliment the H's and tail lights. a black car is a great canvas to work off of, you really can't go wrong with any color rim.

as far as wheel width and offset goes, a daily driven Fit probably won't utilize the benefit of having an 8" width. that kind of contact patch would probably drop your mpg by a considerable amount; however, if traction is your thing then more power to you. if it were my car, 16x7 +40 wheel with a 205/45/16 tire is a good size to get right at the fender, i'd probably run a 3mm or 5mm spacer on the rear wheels to get a more flush look.

good luck

check out my photo albums...I've got a drawing of the Honda accessory wheel 16X6.5 and a 16X7 for comparison. You will see what you need to do.

as for the wheel color...I'd get black wheels and paint just the outside rim edge red.

I wouldn't do either personally, you're not going to like them once the whole 'hellaflush' trend falls out of favor

i just looked up PimpFit15's Fit... meh. i've never liked that poked look. reminds me of these trucks:

no offense

i've said it before and got sig-quoted for it, [personally speaking] Fit4Trav has the nicest stance on this forum.

hahaha, awesome! just goes to show the diversity on this forum.

i'll give one more cliché post and leave it at that: it's your money, your car, and [ultimately] your decision. make yourself happy and ignore people like me

u could have just asked me directly lol

the only rub i experience is when i have 2-3 peeps in the back seat along with a few items in the trunk. its not a prolonged rub that i experience... it only occurs when i drive into a long dip or a bump (mostly happens on the freeway). nothing serious to worry about. i do plan, however, to work on the rear to try to eliminate the rubbing all together.

as for the front fenders... since the GE's are shaped like eggs (big in the ass.. tapered up front) i may have to seek help from one of my good buddies (he was on the cover of honda tuning mag and dubbed "the offset king") to help me refab or pull the fender just a slight to eliminate the "poke"

remember... my wheels are a +20 offset. i think the rear looks perfect on my car... if the wheels came in a +30 offset i would have gotten that for the front

I actually already asked you on your thread and your advice was great. Thanks for posting again. Seems there aren't too many people running an aggressive stance like yours, no one else replied...

You want nice fitment on a GE look at FitDeez, and Mk_Donz has an outrageous set-up

Yeah I bought a similar wheel but once I put them on they didn't really sit right with me. might be because they're styled old school and the Fit screams new age. How about a nice bronze wheel or something in a time attack look. I'm personally looking for something like this except lighter weight:

here's a few pics from the various wheels I have run so far.
