Ive been researching a lot about the items needed for a GE Yakima Rack setup is as follows:

Remember the quantity needed as some of the links reflect only 1 48" bar, not two. And the total of 4 Q clips needed.



So a little insight into the matter. Above is everything needed for the rack essentials. below are some good additional items. These parts are optional however the fairing comes highly recommended due to wind noise at high speeds without it.

A side note. I plugged all these into Amazon and came up with a slightly lower price then rackattack and a couple other specialty places. I suggest all of you do what I did and look on craigslist for parts that you can get cheaper. I found 2 48" Bars on craigs for 25 bucks. When retail is 70. So I saved 50 bucks there. Also looking into a fairing, and whatever else pops up on there. The rest I will order off of Amazon and have my set for a lot cheaper!

I went with a foot of the paint protection standard at $8.50



My grand total was $312 Plus the Xpel Cost ~ $12. Finding parts off craigslists at 50-60% off helps greatly. That was for the essential kit, plus the fairing and 4 keylocks. I'd say a pretty good deal.

48" Crossbars are 8000408, not 8000428.

Also, is there space on these crossbars up front to fit bar pads or does the fairing get in the way?
