Tow hooks are screwed into the bumper under the small round caps (covers). The tow hooks themselves should be in the trunk area with the jack tools.

I can't understand how some people's Fit's break down so often as to need a tow hook permanently installed.

True. The only way a tow hook won't look rice is if your car had a gutted interior with a full cage. I consider anyone NOT racing on a regular basis on a fully prepped race track is a ricer for having a tow hook.

... to me, that just seems like a good way to make an otherwise harmless bumper-kiss (in traffic, the parking lot, parallel parking) into a $1500 repair bill!!

Even though it is just an opinion, it is an opinion I agree with.

I have the factory front tow hook in.. actually used it to pull a couple people out this winter so far. I just left it in, I might paint it to make it blend in better.

Otherwise agreed, kinda "ricer" but there are worse things then tow hooks.. at least tow hooks are functional

Its one thing to make use of it every now and again... but some of the folks don't seem to ever use it. They don't even put it "in case they need it." Its all about the "look," it seems.

Mine is still pristine in the bubble wrap it came in... if it never has to see a spec of dirt, I'm happy.

Its the best way to punish someone that rear-ends you! I'll bet the above-pictured was a bit more work than most will put in...
