I don't know about you guys in the US, but I'm going to bet good money the Fit/Jazz will soldier on in other countries.

It just makes sense.

Honda's pricing strategy is a bit out of whack vs. the rest of the segment though. Maybe it's an indicator of just how desirable the car is (at least in the Philippines) but sometimes they can push it too far.

It's day's are limited as we know it.

Plain and simple. Stop chasing the 'Golden Goose'. My hope is that the FIT will evolve into the next Generation of 'Sensible Cars'.

The future lies ahead - always believe. If such a sensible car can be an International succes, HONDA is doing something right, what?

History happens. The FIT is a point of measure. It "Fit's the Bill.". A bit outside the box - My thoughts are that the mother company is short changing the USA market.

We are no different! "Detroit is Gone" or didn't you notice.

The world wants the same thing - Call it a FIT_K_C_

The 12 sold was only for that month, not for the entire year.

That's the way the biz works; the original Accord was smaller than the current Civic. As to sales, the Fit is far from being Honda's best seller, and April 2010 sales are down significantly from 2009, but as gas prices creep upward, I think there is a growing place for a car like the Fit in Honda's line.

You don't mean April 2010 Fit sales are down from 2009, right? Cause the chart up there says they're up 14%. (American) Honda overall is also up 12.5%.

i remember reading an article on autoblog where honda made a statement about "going back to their roots.." starting with a smaller and lighter civic -- that's a better high-mpg formula than making another hybrid, imo. or, they could keep the mid-sized civic and give us the city/aria. it seems that honda is the only company that doesn't offer a sub-compact sedan (ie: yaris sedan, versa sedan, aveo sedan).

i hate how even though steering is lighter in these new cars, they're harder to toss around like i used to in my crx with no power steering -__-

It should stay, I mean there's getting to be competition from the two & a half domestics (Chrysler being the half.) I'm just happy I got mine before the oil went to $4 a gallon.

If you look at the sales numbers for the Fit, they really are not that great compared to Honda's other models. Hope they don't dump it. It's a great car.

A friend of mine told me about it being discontinued and I had to get on here to research a little. I seriously hope they don't get rid of it. I have been wanting one for awhile now, I'm just not in a financial situation where I can go get mine. I actually dreamt about "my Fit" the other night. Please, Honda, don't get rid of it!!!

If they do kill it, they are just as stupid as GM, and deserve the same fate. They kill anything sporty, and the only even semi fun car the have left might go too. Can they really be that stupid?

Temple of Vtec is calling for a Minor Model Change in 2011. No other news.
This was as of Dec. 09. They usually hear of insider news first.
Temple of VTEC New Model Release Matrix

I personally don't think its going anywhere for a long while. Even with the sales lower than other models....it's still killing the Insight and Civic hybrid sales. Plus the fact they sell more Fits than any car in the Acura lineup.
Says something for cheap small gas engine cars...People still want them.

Cheap, reliable, practical, fun, great mpg = best cars on the road imo

I like those, and being a euro guy, the mostly red tails are much more suited to my tastes, but I guess I feel that there is something even better out there. I don't know why I expect Honda to pull a 180 in their design skills of late, but how hard could a refresh be?
