I was just looking at the laws, it said the side windows and windshield most let 70% light pass through Anyways I was going to get those 4 small windows on the side dark including the back. For the side and windshield i'll just do whats allowed I guess and 6" dark on top windshield.

As the NY law reads the windows aren't to be tinted beyond what the factory does. What you can do is tint the rear windows [behind pass/driver windows] and get away with it. Law wants to be able to see into vehicle for safety sake. Go 35%.

Look at how SUV's and pick-ups are tinted, you can go that far. My last Cadillac came up from Miami w/ a full limo tint. Even the front windshield was tinted. I got away with it for a year, then Trooper gave performance ticket to remove tint from driver window forward. Rear windows were ok. And of course the windshield stuff had to go - could have left the 6" strip, but it wasn't worth it - Caddy windshield has top tinted from factory. K_C_

Hey thanks! So are you from Albany NY? I'm usually down that way once a month.
