How to annoy SUV drivers
Just for the sake of being an elitist jerk I was thinking about sticking on an emblem like this
and then underneath it, the vinyl sticker with a fuel pump that says 41 mpg, not a hybrid.
Would that be a 'statement'? Or just rice?
Discuss.
Also, does anyone know who to get in touch with to get an mpg stocker like described above?

I also have a SUV that gets an average of 16 MPG and an old Ford Van that gets about 9-10 MPG.
Sigh, what can you do?

I think most drivers on the road know small non hybrid cars can get 40 mpg.
My dad use to have a 1.3L 5sp 1993 Ford Festiva that got 40 mpg (Fun little car). My old 95 integra ls was able to achieve 40 mpg hwy. Small fuel efficient gas engines are nothing new. Added stickers flaunting it isn't really worth it..just added junk to a exterior of a car imo. People who drive gas guzzling SUV's only for city driving are not going to be persuaded by a little sticker. If they are that ignorant to the automotive world they deserve getting 10 mpg and spending hundred of dollars a month on gas. I will keep passing them huddled up at the gas station and keep that gas money in my savings account/IRA for retirement.

a good way to get your car keyed
j/k j/k
even tho i drive a honda fit, i feel like those Geo's with the "100% Vegetable Oil" on their gas cap kinda pisses me off... or "80mpg".. because those 2 stickers are not true.
because you might get 41mpg or 80.. but you don't get it each time.. and thats also not what the manufacture estimate is either.. your statement is a "single case report" statement. it holds no weight in a MPG estimate.
and to be the first to answer your last question.. my vote goes for the second choice... "its rice"

I think most SUV owners would not lower themselves to read a sticker. They seem to feel pretty good about themselves when they roll up on top of a micro like the Fit.

BUT! What would be funny is to put a vinly decal on the top of the hatch. Something along the lines of "if you can read this, you're wasting gas". LOL!

If you really wanna annoy a typical SUV driver, get an Obama bumper sticker and/or the Human Rights Campaign bumper sticker and with the windows down and volume at 20, play a song from Ke$sha or Lady Gaga. Their heads will roll.

correction, volume at 40.

I've changed my mind. Time to save 20 grand and import the parts to make a 4x4 fit and lift it 12".
Sure I've got a 1992 chevy silverado 1500 ext cab (they were rare back then) 4x4 pick up
truck but you won't see me in it without something behind it or in the bed.

I wish I had some pictures of my old 81 VW Diesel pickup with a Rancho Suspensions lift kit flush mount topper with top mounted scoop vent, American Mags big tires and clearance lights.....It was the most powerful 60 HP truck I ever drove.

"It was the most powerful 60 HP truck I ever drove" - HAHA! oxymoron

I had a car keyed once just for having a Darwin fish sticker. No problem with a FSM logo though, probably because the fundies didn't get the joke.
This one seems pretty subtle:
And I really like the thinking behind this one (even though it applies to motorcycles, rather than small cars):
