How do I make a louder FIT?

I want to make my FIT louder.

I already have an HKS Hi-Power exhaust installed, but it really isn't as loud as I would like it. Everything else is stock parts.

What could I put on my FIT to make it louder?

Replace the mid-pipe with a non-resonated piece. Replace the catalyst with a straight downpipe. If ever it comes out for the L15, individual throttle bodies would make a wonderful aural symphonic masterpiece.

I have no clue what most of that means...

I did a little research to try and figure it out, though.
I feel that the best thing would be to replace the mid-pipe with a non-resonated mid-pipe, as opposed to getting rid of the catalytic converter for a down pipe which could potentially screw things up.

What would be a good place to get a non-resonated mid-pipe from? And would be a general price range for that?

Also, would an upgraded air-filter/intake system help with a louder volume?

Let me guess, you've never done a mod that doesn't come boxed with instructions and a price tag?

Pop the cat off and hit it with a rubber mallet and stab inside with a screwdriver untill all the honeycomb

falls out

Now you need to use a spark plug non-fouler to cheat the downcat o2 sensor so we can still pass the emissions test and prevent the old "catalyst system efficiency below threshold" code.

Next we are going to take off the silencer and muffler. Grab your favorite crowbar, prybar and just start trying to jam it through the muffler and silencer until you break everything out then clean up the inside.

Congrats, you are done, now you are loud as hell and look bone stock, make sure you look closely at all the other drivers doing a facepalm everytime you pull up next to them because you aint exactly driving a '69 GTO...

Also drilling a hole in the exhaust works too if you ae not sensitive to CO.

Keep pollution to a minimum, leave it the way it is. Noise pollution is real too.

Respect?

Power House Amuse R1 non-resonated and also without canister after I hacked it off. Talk about , it would just make me laugh when I would lay into the go go go pedal.

Intake will make it louder (and have a slight performance boost). The PRM Suggestions sound right after reading other threads. Some people have removed the PRM as it was too loud for them.

The PRM is not really loud at all, at least for me. The only time I really hear it is inside a tunnel, of course that is not completely true, but it is far from loud in everyday situations. Then again, I wouldn't stand a silent vehicle, it would drive me crazy. As it is, the Fit is too quiet for my liking.

I went to the muffler shop and had an axle back with 2"1/2" pipe and 12" glass pack.... I kept stalling when taking off because I couldn't hear the engine with the stock exhaust. I put the stock muffler and pipe back on awhile back and actually enjoyed listening to music at 2/3 volume and not hearing the exhaust but I had to change back because I missed the exhaust note and acceleration.

Just yesterday i removed my stock mid-pipe and welded a non-resonated 2 1/2" pipe from the axle to the cat. Sounds much much lounder now and still sounds great. This is def the way to go.

Any recommendations on where to get one? Are there recommended brands for these?

Obviously I don't know much about this topic.
