Interior Arm Rest

I have a 2009 Fit that has had something odd happen. The cardboard support under the fabric on the driver's door arm rest has cracked . Now when I rest my arm on it, the cracked section under my elbow falls down, the fabric is starting to stretch out of shape. Any suggestions? I have thought of the following:
1) Take it to the dealership and see if it is still under warranty to get fixed.
2) Take the inside panel off and try to fix (glue/fiberglass the material under the fabric)

I am curious if anybody else has had this happen to them.

Check here for the cracked arm rest thread. As nght said above, there's a TSB on it and the dealer should take care of it at no charge (if it matches the TSB).

While you are at it, check out the other TSB's in that thread and see if anything else matches (like the Fuel economy computer update - make sure to get some data on this including receipts with mileage, etc...)

I also had my cracked armrest piece replaced for free although I did have to provide the TSB. I also had the dealer fix the inaccurate MPG with the software update (again I had to furnish the TSB).
