I may head out with jkskrn to the track one day. It would be good to get a comparison with a stock MT Fit, besides a K&N filter. We both have white cars too so you know it would be a fair comparison.

That sounds like a winning idea to me.... You may have some additional advantage on the top end with the slick finish your car has.

One would think the car of a detailer always looks like his 'after' photos in my detail threads. Unfortunately, this is FAR from the truth.

What do you mean 'may head out'?
You need to get your priorities straight and firm that up a bid, don't you think?

LOL

ahhhh i remember these days of doing small mods and seeing if it changes the 1/4 time.

Return everything back to stock. and put radials on it. that change alone will reduce your time by a few seconds...its prety shocking what tires do alone.

That would be awesome dude! I was looking for someone to go with for a long time! I actually live in Apopka which is about an hr from the track. I'm going to the CFRC track if it rain this Fri... It's killing me to find out how my Fit is now...

1/4 is way too long IMO. because you only have another quarter to stop. i was trapping like 124+ in my old car running 12's SOMETIMEs 11's....

the stupid thing is, i had a friend with the same exact car except BONE stock with alot of suspension work with with MT tires and he cut the same quarter mile as me... and i had DOUBLE his horsepower to the FREAKEN wheels and he still ran faster then me. I even have Nitto Radials... but they are nothing against like Drag M/Ts

thats why i was giving you that advice earlyer. i didn't want you to spend money where it didn't count. because all my boost and such amounted to nothing compared to suspension and good tires...... of course i could own everyone on the highway or from a roll.. but my quarter mile suffered badly due too TOO MUCH engine work.

Looks like my next upgrade is suspension! lol And I'm going to blame on u if i can't cut my time lol jk But yeah, I'm done with my "power mod" until someone comes up with a bolt on supercharger kit that raises about 40 hp

Next to supercharging i have found the 9.5 pound Ekei RPF1 wheels and lighter tires were the best performance enhancement. I like Swift Mach Springs because or the more travel and lighter weight than other springs plus the only drop the rear .8" placing more weight on the front wheels.. If you want even more lift in the rear a cheap fix is Monroe air shocks which are cheap and easy to install.... You can vent hot air from under the hood for lower air intake temperatures by using longer hood bolts and placing fender washer of the same diameter holes as the bolts as spacers to allow the heated air to rise and exit while sitting still and as an exit once moving that will reduce turbulence under the car.

kamispeed.com...... They have some info on them and there are also stuff on UTube..... With 25.5 lbs of wheels and tires per corner and these springs the ride and handling is amazing

Is this what you are referring to? LOL...brand R(ed), Y(ellow), B(lue). Advertising propaganda. Nobody publishes the weight of their springs.

Brand B(lue) actually weighs less that Swift....as evidenced by the "official" looking bar graph.

It makes sense though, less coils = less weight.

The reason I bring it up is because, while I love the Progress springs, they're at least double the weight of the stock springs.

I wish I had a quality scale to weigh the stock springs...then I could call Progress and Swift to see what the reported weight is.

Oh darn... My job changed my schedule and now I'm working on Wednesday and Friday nights which are the two nights that I can go have some fun with my rednecks friends... AH~~~!!! Seriously the god is trying to telling me something... It's maybe I should break-in my car proper first before I beat it hard FYI, I have about 4600 miles on my GE8 and my oil % is at 40% lol I'm thinking about changing it at 30% so should be somewhere around 5.5k
