Lyon's free adjustable spoiler mod!
#103
Hope you guys don't get mad at me, but what's the point of this mod? Just RICE?
From a practical point of view it just doesn't make sense...
Why do you want to increase drag and burn more fuel($)?
Why would you want to "create downforce" on the rear of a FWD car?
I know the Fits' spoiler isn't a proper wing, which is why I put the create downforce in "__", but still ... you're willingly accepting the potential for higher drag, worse gas mileage, reduced power, traction and braking at hwy speeds.
PS:
I am definitely not an expert in aerodynamics, or racing, and don't understand all the principles of wings, spoilers, and down force. I was just using my common sense.

That said, a rear spoiler can help with stability at high speeds by preventing oversteer, especially under braking (when the back end is unweighted and thus more susceptible to breaking traction). That's a concern even in a FWD car, though likely not at legal speeds.
