Important Notice: HUGE California Traffic Tickets Fines Effective

>> Please be extremely careful in your driving and car registration &
insurance matters. State of California is broke and they are trying hard to
squeeze all of us hard to collect money. The state of California is going for blood, so be extra careful in driving, you cannot afford messing with them. I have been hearing that highway patrols are under pressure to issue a lot more tickets than last year with at least 30% increase in fines over 2009, so beware of radar guns, highway and traffic cameras installed everywhere and the tougher enforcement of parking rules. Just for your info, the next time you park in the handicapped zone, even for a minute, you will be looking at almost $ 1000 in parking tickets, so it'd better be worth it.

I always thought it got progressively more expensive the higher you're over the speed limit. I think it been more then evidence that cops are issuing more tickets and fines have been increased to make up for the bad economy.

dam who the hell was smoking crack writing these fines.
i guess california is trying to kill all motor sales and start promoting public transport.
the fines are ridiculous, how in the world are you supposed justify $796 for failure to notify for address change within 10 days.

too many CA govt employees, all unionized with high wages, golden health care and retirement benefits. (dont get me wrong, I am not against unions) Plus too strict environmental laws have forced many companies to move to Nevada.
Shrinking corporate tax base, job loss to other states + too much govt spending = a state that is virtually bankrupt.
Don't be surprised if this shocker is just the beginning with more to come.

Got a speeding ticket recently for doing 70 in a 60. Total comes out to $262 to pay bail w/ option of traffic school. Tack on top of that the cost for traffic school and it's almost $300.

I got two tickets in 2009
One ticket was speeding 8 miles above the limit, the fine was $250, went to court, got it lowered to $212.
The other ticket was failure to stop at a red light when turning, the fine was $550, went to court, got it lowered to $250.
But damn, not telling the DMV that I changed my address? Good thing I got it changed 13 months later..

I got one in 2009.
Broken headlight, got ticketed outside Autozone -_-
Cop was a doche!
Friend didn't know how to drive stick brought a car and told me to drive it back. Had the car for less than an hour too! That dumb-ass told me that I shouldn't be driving because I have a provisional license but I was driving with a person 20+ and within the driving hours -_- Also wrote my age on the ticket wrong too!
Oh well...it was an excuse to miss a day of high school. haha

I was pulled over three times on Sunday between going to church and heading to my photoshoot. Definitely a personal record.
Ended up getting off relatively light. Two tickets for the exhaust and for no front plate. The first cop rolled me at a freaking RED LIGHT and he asked me where I was going. Told him I was going to teach Sunday school and I was running a bit late...which I was. Was rocking the dress pants, dress shirt, tie, everything. He looked at me, chuckled a bit and said, "Is that my problem? Don't be a smartass. It looks like you'll be late, son. " -___-
Gotta love the cops...
